Now
It is roughly week 1,506 of my life.
- Still working on parts of this website, but mostly behind the scenes improvements and cleaning up parts than I'm not fully satisifed with. I'm starting to put together a little writeup of how it all fits together to kickstart my posts here.
- Reading Your Life is Manufactured by Tim Minshall — a bit of a slow burn and a lot of it is far more surface-level than I'd have hoped, but I'm still enjoying it and it's a fairly easy read. It has also introduced me to the quote "sell the drill, not the hole", which I really like.
- Final bit of trip planning for the year done with a jaunt over to Taiwan in a couple of months. Which means all the places I'm destined for in the rest of the year begin with a 'T' — Turkmenistan next?
- Still working on my supermarket price comparison site but with another side project on the go around budget meals for a UK audience — much more content focused rather than my comparison site which is mostly around the data, but I am seeing lots of ways in which the two could integrate.
- Meal prepping is now on week 3 and I'm getting into the swing of things a lot more by building up a cache of some of my favourite recipes that freeze well. Or, for the ones that don't, I can at least pre-marinate meat to shave off some time during the week. This week is shaping up to be my most prepared week yet as I've managed to almost fully prep six days worth of meals, all fully vacuum sealed and frozen ready for the week ahead.
- Eagerly anticipating foraging season — it won't be long until I can get out and pick some blackberries, wild plums, and elderberries.
This page is inspired by Derek Sivers’ “Now” page, and is meant to be a snapshot of what I'm up to at the moment. You can view my older iterations of this page in the links below.
